Pup?

You know when your fiance needs some love when he opens your Itunes and puts on a playlist called "cute".
Sad pup, I'm sorry I have been so sick.
Thank you for taking care of me even when I was throwing up while you were trying to help me.
And thanks for the soup that got chicken lodged in my nose, I still appreciated it.

(Picture is from last summer, before we dated, but I massaged his back at a demolition derby and sewed a shirt for him. We are pretty much even in taking care of each other.)

Fluer de Flu.

(I dont know what fluer means, but it sounds way nicer than flu.)
The only nice thing about the flu is that I have an excuse to stay in bed and blogstalk for wedding ideas.
Yep, the only nice thing.

Five isn't a large number.

I hate all the countdowns on Facebook, but it just hit me that we are getting married in 5 more weeks. We only have 5 more Sunday's without being married. It was a strange realization that it is that close since it has seemed so far away for a while.

Ebay is not a new invention, Ashley.

So I am aware that Ebay is not new to the block and that Etsy is great, but sometimes Etsy just doesn't do. Especially for things like wedding bands. So Tyler's cousin said she bought her husbands wedding band from Ebay because he already lost his first one. I asked if she was bummed and she said "No because it was like 20 bucks."

Can you say awesome?
Now, we are insuring my ring, of course. Tyler even read a story about a girl dropping her engagement ring in the toilet and said "If that happened to us I would be sure to tear the whole toilet apart." I am sure you would Tyler, I am sure you would.

But if he drops his in the toilet, I am just bidding on a new one.
BAM, and that's how you handle a wedding band 6 weeks before your wedding.

Sarah took pictures of us while all over Huntington and Catilina.

Summer's Over

Summer is officially over. I wish I could explain the heart break that comes with that statement. Back to school and work... the... como se dice... "real world".

I guess I have no explanation for myself in this one.
Me, Emily and Tracy at Iron & Wine. So good to have the Emshley back.

SEE YA SUMMAH!

Wisdom of a Nine Year Old

Today Hunter and I were outside jumping on the trampoline talking about the things of life. I asked him about his heart and if he was okay and he said, "Yeah, I'm fine. Do you know about my heart?" I told him I remembered when he came home from the hospital when he was born and how I was sat down and told that he would have to get surgery. He reminded me that his heart pumps twice as much as other people's hearts and that he just can't run as fast. So we had a contest of course. I tried so hard to beat him in this game (I forgot the name, but you jump on the trampoline and sit down and jump back up and who ever does it the most wins.) I almost passed out from trying so hard to get up just one more time and he beat me. I almost cried thinking of how he doesn't realize that I envision his heart just exploding from pumping so much blood. His valve will have to be replaced soon, but this kid isn't going to let any one beat him. He asked me what was the fastest animal in the world. I knew this one, the cheetah. Duh. WRONG. It's the Peregrine Falcon it goes 100 MPH in the air and when it swoops down to catch its prey it can fly 300 MPH. What's the loudest animal in the world? Um this one is hard. Is it some sort of bird? A bird... Am I joking? It's the blue whale. It's as loud as a jumbo jet when it's taking off. But the water muffles the sound of course. Hunter, do you still want to be a paleontologist? Yes. I am practicing and reading books about dinosaurs all the time. Oh that's a good start. Ashley do you still want to be a baby doctor? Yes. I practice too. I hold babies all the time. Even when they are crying and poopy? EW. Yes. Do you know that one time my friend and I were wrestling and he flew through the trampoline net? Really? Yep. Dad fixed the net though. Hunter, can you do this? (I jump as high as I can and kick the air). Yeah that's easy. Can you do this? (some twist and kick that nearly breaks my neck when I try.) Nope. I guess I can't. Want to go swing? Sure.

Love you Buddy.

Bachelorette's and more.

What have I done this past week? Well, I returned from Bear Lake on Monday. Went straight to my good friend Sarah's Bachelorette party. Then Gallivan on Thursday of course. Seeing Q-Tip with Tyler had to be one of the high lights of the week because he was so excited to be there. We were in the 2,000 person crowd all dancing! My kind of par-tay!

Going to Gallivan on Thursday with Tyler. He was BY FAR the most excited person there to see Q-Tip and we had the best time dancin our pants off. (No pants came off. Jeeze).
Lizi and I in Bear Lake with our sweet glasses, again.
Tyler and I in Bear Lake.
Playing Bingo... which Lizi won.
Sarah and Alex with the posters. (NOTE: they say dirty things... it was a Bachelorette Party).
Lizi, Sienna and I waiting for Rex, our "male stripper".

Sarah and I with the poster that our team made.
Our mass gift which contained many good things that are useful...
Everyone at Sarah's party
Me, Kendel, Alex, Sarah and Jordan.
She loves when we do this at every shower... Not.
Everyone looking so fierce!
