This American Life.

So my husband (his name is Tyler so I will just call him that and you will know I am talking about my husband, okay?). So Tyler started listening to This American Life a while back when he got a cool new phone that he will talk to you about for decades. And this cool new phone played This American Life for me when we had to drive far. (This term far is relative to Utah because in other states far is far longer than Utah far. Oh, we drove 2 hours.) So we drove and drove and on the way there we basically listened to every CD I owned. On the way home Tyler* was sick of Taylor Swift, Mates of State and some CDs he burned for me because I just have a CD player and we plugged in his phone. For the record, I could have listened to all those CDs again because I do everyday. We put on This American Life and I was hooked. It was an hour long, so we listened to two stories. I thought my life had been enlightened just as I am sure the producers of the show intended.

Flash forward to this afternoon. I had taken an anatomy test, physiology test, and a written composition in spanish so I justify my actions, or the lack of, here. I was laying on the couch, had just finished an episode of Real Housewives of Miami because all my regular shows are not on right now. So, I was desperate since I don't usually feel a void after visiting Hulu. I was not impressed by this series so I went to Netflix. I have finished Grey's Anatomy, the series, since we have gotten Netflix. (I watch it while cooking. And sometimes when I am laying on the couch, like now.) So, I am searching the 'Flix and find This American Life. I never knew it was a show too! So I watched two episodes, felt better about my sedintary lifestyle and would advise you do the same.

The whole point of all this nonsense is to tell you to go listen to This American Life's podcasts**. Radio Lab is also great. They have great stories and Ira Glass's voice is pretty close to perfection.

*Refer to first set of parenthesis.
**This week would be a great time to go listen because the story is so good and it's something you've never heard. I would bet you a McDonald's sundae and large Poweraid.

Love and marriage

So I saw these two cute and funny things and thought I would be so kind and share them.
Here's the husband to the wife.
And the wife to the husband.
I think both are pretty funny, but the wife one has some gems on it.
**Warning, some of them are pretty dirty in the one from the wife. (Go figure.) But the husabnd one is mainly just cutesy to get someone to please marry him. Better yet, they should marry each other. Perfect.

IF I HATE SOMETHING OF YOURS so much that I’m tempted to “accidentally” let it fall behind the washer & dryer, I promise to first buy you a replacement to ease your separation anxiety.

FATNESS BTW, don’t be mean to me when I get fat. It’s probably your fault.

Enjoy your weekend! And a long one at that. HORRAY!

In the shnerfington's of time, I don't gots none. (Just like Harry don't gots a wand anymore.)

I have all these ideas. I have a whole folder full of ideas on my computer. I just haven't gotten there yet. Maybe in like 2013 when I am out of PA school. (Let's face it, I won't get around to it there either.) A girl that I worked with once, Dresden, she gives cute ideas on her blog and if you don't have time to make them, like me, you can call her and she will make these cute things for you. Such a good idea because let's face it, we don't have time people. Right? (I say right with a question mark, but I really say it like it's a period at the end.)

No, I don't remember where any of these pictures are from. This folder isn't a new thing, sorry.

Just call me Savvy Shopper.

So I looked on Savvy Shopper and saw that there were some deals at Smiths. So, on a lonely Saturday night I went to the grocery store.
I got:
2- Simply Orange Juice (59 OZ)
2-Coffee-mate Creamers (16 OZ)
Blue Almond Milk (1/2 Gallons)**
2- boxes of Wheat Thins (10 OZ)
4- Go-Packs Minis (4 OZ)

Okay so how much do you think that they were? $29.22

How much did I pay you ask? Cause heaven only knows that I would not pay $29 for all that.

$4.18

I saved 12.04 with my Smith's card and 13.00 with coupons. Just on this trip. (I have been to Smiths 3 times this week because I keep finding such good deals and have had time to run over there.)

Go take a look at Savvy Shopper. I am not joking. We have saved $233.00 just at Smiths without coupons, just using their deals. I have no idea how much we have saved with coupons since we have been married but it's a ton of money. Which is nice when you are newly married. Or even when you are not newly married and you just want to save money. Now it is kind of like a high to save money and see how much I can save!

** We don't drink coffee, but I needed 10 things to save $5 at Smith's and they made us 25 cents with our coupons. I will probably give it to someone at work who drinks coffee and it made me money!

Ebay is not a new invention, Ashley.

So I am aware that Ebay is not new to the block and that Etsy is great, but sometimes Etsy just doesn't do. Especially for things like wedding bands. So Tyler's cousin said she bought her husbands wedding band from Ebay because he already lost his first one. I asked if she was bummed and she said "No because it was like 20 bucks."

Can you say awesome?
Now, we are insuring my ring, of course. Tyler even read a story about a girl dropping her engagement ring in the toilet and said "If that happened to us I would be sure to tear the whole toilet apart." I am sure you would Tyler, I am sure you would.

But if he drops his in the toilet, I am just bidding on a new one.
BAM, and that's how you handle a wedding band 6 weeks before your wedding.

I have Christmas shopping already all lusted after. I am now just waiting to see what I am going to narrow it down to. My sister told me today that she thinks I have an online shopping addiction. (Who doesn't, the mall makes me tired anyway... Just ask Tyler who thinks its a ridiculous statement.) So I am thinking of ideas and I am scanning these websites to check some things out. I decided to be nice and share and if you see anything that I get you on these, then sorry for spilling my beans!
